I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management at American University of Sharjah (Sharjah, UAE), in the Department of Marketing and Information Systems of the School of Business Administration. I am teaching courses on operations management, supply chain management, logistics, and managerial statistics, both in the undergraduate program and in the MBA program. My research focuses on sustainable operations and closed-loop supply chain management.
Previously, I was as a postdoctoral research fellow at Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), at Qatar University (Doha, Qatar), and at the Hamilton Institute, part of the National University of Ireland Maynooth (Maynooth, Ireland).
In 2012, I successfully defended my PhD thesis on “Pooling and Polling” at Eindhoven University of Technology (Eindhoven, The Netherlands), where I also graduated from my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
